So We had reached the last day of one of the most amazing weeks of my life (so far) they weren’t kidding when they called it “intense course” there is so much information to take on board, practice to do and things to think about when setting up your own makeup artist business, was pretty tired and emotional before I even started the day, but looking forward to packing in as much as I could into my last few hours with these awesome girls – not just Sam, Nic and Stacey but all my course mates!
Nic asked if there was anything else we would like to be shown and we all agreed on brows so Nic did a demo on each of us, doing only one brow so our partner had to match it up! Friday was kind of anything goes – practice what you felt needed practice on kinda day 🙂
There were 10 of us all together but I didn’t get a photo of me and my lovely partner for the day, Paddi didn’t need anything doing to her brows but there’s a pic of her later on 🙂
Also whilst all this was going on we were discussing getting the Pixiwoo team a pressie to say thankyou for an awesome week on the Facebook group Paddi had set up the night before, secrets and surprises 😉 once all the brows were done we had a go at putting the other brow on and putting whatever makeup we liked on and decided to get lunch before doing the other person some of us probably got a few funny looks going out with one eyebrow done but we weren’t too bothered!
Paddi, Victoria and I headed off and got flowers and I nipped into WHSmiths to grab a card for everyone to sign and snuck them up into the studio which was quite fun!
We came back and I decided to try to do a variation of a smokey eye in pinky colours on Paddi and was super happy with the way it turned out, especially as in between I made the mistake of watching the 60 minute makeover that we’d sprung on Kerri in the summer, big mistake – huge – I was crying my eyes out in seconds when it got to the part about her nearly dying! But anyways the makeup turned out great I think!
We then decided to give the flowers to Sam, Nic and Stacey ( Amy wasn’t there) once again got stupidly emotional as hate goodbyes as it is, but really didn’t want the week to end, it changed me, it gave me confidence and a belief if I practice and work hard, that I CAN do this, a bit of attitude adjustment within myself and a fire and a passion to get out there and go for what I want and not to let ANYONE bring me down! I will reiterate again how awesome these women are and I see them doing the same on Twitter for some of their followers, I don’t think they truly realise what they do and I’m so amazingly glad and grateful that I got the chance to do this 🙂 It wasn’t JUST a makeup course.
As well as the awesome Pixiwoo team the rest of the course gang was amazing, feel I’ve made friends for life and loving how supportive and happy everyone is for each other – not one hint of bitchiness, which was kind of amazing, but also just how it should be 🙂
these two photos from Paddi just love them
